They have found the hottest chili, or what is the hottest chili until the next one is found.
According to this article, it has 357,729 SHU (which is a way they measure heat levels – I think). Well for me chili is chili, and it is normally hot, and very nice….

According to a study conducted in the US, it can save you life if you have a small nap around lunch time (referred to in this articel, by Jyllands Posten, Danish, or here at forskning.no, Norwegian).
Full text, by oxfordjournals.org
Now this is something I could use, I always feel a bit sleepy after lunch, and a small nap could come in very handy.

I was in the US almost 3 years agoe, just before the US did go into Iraq, and did have some quite intersting discussions. But one thing really did amaze me was the reaction people had to Dixie Chicks and their stand on the Iraq war/invasion, where long term fans had thrown out their CD’s for that simple reason.
My comment to that was something in the lines of; “they are people, and they should be allowed to have their oppinion”, that being the conservative part of the US, and some people being slightly boneheaded…..
Now it turns out that at this years Grammy Awards (2007) they got 5 awards, for new album, etc. it looks like they are back into the world of Country fans… 3 years after people wanted to see them burned.
They (Dixie Chicks) probably still have the same opinion as 3 years ago, but as Bush and Co. are no longer in the driving seat (he still being president, but people have finally found out that he is useless), and some people are starting to see the light (hopefully).

Actually not you, but me… So what is the worst in the part of moving? I would say the packing thing, I just spend 2 weeks doing DIY (aprox 60L of paint – for aprox 100kvm of house, 37kvm of floor, and the odd things), which is dueable – the great thing is that I’ve lost weight… about 8kg, which is both good and bad – my jeans are too big now (that will change in the future when I put it back on again).
But packing, that is a b…., you find that you have things you thought you got ridge of years back, and you find that the thing you actually thought you had is not there anymore. Make it stop….
I’m still to move, but that is what one pay people to do….

I was at this party today where I meet this nice Swedish girl, and we where talking about language. Me being from Denmark, understand some Swedish, but not everything. And it seams that the perception is that all Danes understand Swedish… Well it’s been a well know fact for years that Norwegians and Swedes understand Danish, well that was what I thought until I was told otherwise:-)
Yes it sounds kind of similar, but no the tree nordic countries do have diffrent languages, there are similarities, but still the diffrence is there and it enough to, sometimes, make it impossible to use anything but English.

According to this articel on www.jp.dk (Danish; Jyllands Posten), things can go a bit to fast when they build houses in Norway. They normally can build a house in one day – that is, it’s a wooden house, and they only connect all the pre assembled pieces, but this time it did not go according to plan. The house was turned 180 degrees, and no, to fix it they used a crane.
The article also reports that the roof is pointing upwards:-)
Strangely enough the construction company did not have any comments….

I’m in the middle of a house move, well actually I’m moving in two week, and like to have everything preprepared. That is utility billes, etc., and one small thing my internet connection!!!
I’ve been using a farly cheap provider the last year (Speedlinq (bbned) in The Netherlands) which I’ve been quite happy with, they give me a connection to the outside world, and they let me have my server at home (it’s in a room next door). But this Wednesday I send them a letter notifying them that I would move in two weeks, and would like them to move the connection the same day as my phone line would get moved.
Right, that should not be a problem you say.
Well I got up this morning and no connection, well thay could be an issue with the connection – went off painting my new place, and go back this evening, still no connection….
Call the helpdesk, and was told that the connection already was moved – WHAT!! – sorry have to talk to some other people, and they are called administrative people (bureaucrats in other words). First girly on the phone tried to get alone the line of “this is normal, and you just have to live without an internet connection for the next 2 – 3 weeks), not that I’m an impolite person, but there are limits. I ask to talk to her manager, which was refused (see there are good things about working in a callcenter), after refusing that answer a couple of times, and being very persistent, I finally go someone on the phone, whome I think was the manager, and told the same story; “move my connection back to my current address now! – please!”. No can do and you are just (fucked), and have to live with. Well the whole thing ended with me canceling my connection with them (by the end of February), and went out seaching for a new one.
There are a lot of things one can do with out internet, but one thing is not possible, find a new provider. It’s like you need internet to get a connection (or just find information about it), which is like the chicken and egg thing – which did not improve much on my happiness (to say the least).
Well I ended up going to the cableTV shop (yes I have cableTV – and never really use it), but they gave me a box with a modem in it (and lots of cables), which I connected after coming home from the pub (please don’t tell the old lady that I had one pint to many), and hey it worked….
So instead of connecting my computer, I connected my router, it still worked, then I went so far as changing my DNS (domain name services, names to number, or what ever), and I now have my website back online, and I’m receving mail (not that is interesting for you – except that you can now send mail to me – again).
But back to my point, first this should not have happened, and second they should have told me that they would move back my connection first coming weekday (monday), but nooooo…. I for one can only say one thing stay clear of anything which have to do with Speedlinq, and especially bbned (in The Netherlands).
Seams like one still run into incredible bad customer service once in a while…..
